Forgiveness Fever: Blazing The Trail To A New World

April 17, 2012

Project Forgive

This week I stumbled upon a little video that literally made my heart sing. I might have made my pledge and carried on but soon after watching it I made a connection with the force field of light behind this simple but powerful documentary. Project Forgive, I soon discovered is inspired by 6 time Emmy award winning producer Shawne Duperon. Shawne’s first FB post to me was “Who are you and where have you been all my life? :)”. We were instantly mighty companions forged by the bond of miracle-mindedness.

We can never see the whole ‘divine plan’ all I know is my part in it is given by grace. Since that connection happened have I dropped everything to devote all my time to this project. As a result I’m riding the wave in ecstatic joy. This forgiveness fever is highly contagious!

The video has been endorsed by Jack Canfield, Marianne Williamson and thousands of others, just like you and I, who have held this vision for a lifetime. Tonight I tuned into Oprah’s LiveClass with Deepak Chopra and Bishop TD Jakes talking about the Power of Forgiveness. “Unforgiveness unchecked becomes a cancer in your soul” says Bishop TD Jakes. “Forgiveness allows us to create a new story” says Deepak Chopra. The fever has set in. It’s coming at us from everywhere.

I like the idea of Forgiveness “Fever” because aside from the pure Tsunami of love arising around the idea, like a fever saves your body, forgiveness IS the fever that will save the ‘world’! Forgiveness offers a simple practice of release that brings you back to a place of peace in your heart. That’s why we love the children in the video. They remind us of our innocence, our true selves. Forgiveness is not ‘of this world’’s born of the light we carry within us, from heaven. As that light is extended through each of us the memory of heaven is restored to everyone.

“The outcome of the lesson that God’s Son is guiltless is a world in which there is no fear, and everything is lit with hope, and sparkles with a gentle friendliness. Open your eyes today, and look upon a happy world of safety and of peace. Forgiveness is the means by which it comes to take the place of hell. In quietness it rises up to greet your open eyes, and fill your heart with deep tranquility as ancient truths, forever newly born, arise in your awareness. What you will remember then can never be described. Yet your forgiveness offers it to you.” ~ A Course In Miracles

A Course In Miracles International just released a press release in support of Project Forgive. Project Forgive will be coming to film at International Forgiveness Week in September.

I encourage you to watch the video. If it touches you support Project Forgive with a pledge We have achieved the goal of raising the seed money to start filming. The full budget is 1MILLION. The sooner we get that backing the faster this documentary will reach the world. I’m now saying ‘we’ because the day that initial goal was reached I was officially put on the Project Forgive Team. If, like me, you get hit with Forgiveness Fever you are welcome to join me in sharing it with the world! Shawne has an amazing team backing her on this project… and there is always room for one more….

January 1, 2011

If you have “weight loss” high on your list of New Year’s Resolution you might want to consider asking God for help. While your issue might show up as a weight problem if you put your relationship with God up to number 1 on your list for 2011 you might just solve all your problems in one hit.

Lesson three of A Course In Weight Loss Marianne Williamson talks about “building your altar”. As in AA or A Course In Miracles we come to that point where we realize we can’t fix the problem. “I can’t solve the problem but God will if I let him.”

A Course in Miracles: The Book for Our Time

September 21, 2009

This is a great article writtern by Andrea Chalupa from the Huffington Post. The article Andrea mentions from the New York Times caused quite a stir when Carrie Bradshaw quoted Marianne Williamson as the author of a Course In Miracles. Anyone who knows A Course In Miracles knows that the author is Jesus Christ. Consequently the correction was made fairly swiftly.

A Course in Miracles: The Book for Our Time

The New York Times Styles section had this great article on the growing hunger for spirituality as the new obsession for New York’s Carrie Bradshaw. Sure, the pop culture reference is fun, but spirituality is a lot more than visualizing your perfect husband or landing an article in the Style’s section. It’s seeing love–God–in all situations, in yourself, in everyone you meet, something that takes serious practice, study, and dedication–especially in this city.

The best thing about this growing movement–yes, I’ve seen my friends replace retail therapy with meditation–is that it’s introducing more and more people to A Course in Miracles (ACIM). Marianne Williamson and Eckhart Tolle, spiritual advisors on Oprah, derive their books and teachings from this life-changing course.

As someone who studies the written word, I’ve never seen writing like ACIM, and I studied psychology and intellectual history in college. The best way to describe it is thought-level writing. This is not a book written by man, “written down” yes…

In New York in the 1970s, Helen Schucman and William Thetford, Professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, hated each other. Think of your most annoying co-worker drama–theirs was like that. After a particularly bad fight, Schucman thought: there must be a better way. And that’s when the voice came to her, saying simply: This is a course in miracles. Please take notes.

She had a series of vivid dreams leading up to hearing the voice. And she knew she had to work with her colleague and make peace with him. She did, and at first they kept it secret as they worked as scribes for The Voice, afraid their colleagues in academia would be appalled. Over the years they produced the door-stopper sized text, which is Jesus Christ clarifying his original teachings, which, as we know, have been lost and twisted from their original meaning for many.

Though it’s a huge book, which I like to use as my magic eight ball of answers, ACIM has a simple message it gently teaches in a coaching, loving Voice, in the Voice of Christ: you have two choices when it comes to your freedom of choice–fear and love. That’s it–that’s what every “problem” in the world boils down to. And fear cannot exist since it is not a part of God, because anything outside of God is death. Then you simply have one choice–and that is love. Love is life and peace, and a mind at peace communicates with God. Communication with God is life, creativity, limitless power. Anything that makes you feel small, jealous, angry, guilty, vengeful springs from fear, products of the ego that just want to destroy you. That is the only temptation, to resist attack in all its many forms. Because when you attack, you’re attacking yourself and cutting off communication with God.

When people ask, how can there be a God when there’s so much pain and suffering in the world, God didn’t create that, we did. But the current darkness is falling away like eroded cliffs under the deluge of spiritual hunger. And this is one trend that will win out.

Gorgeous For God by Lisa Natoli

Gorgeous for God
The power to change the world by changing your mind
By Lisa Natoli

November 28, 2007

I love it! Fabulous! Delightful! A must read for all Course in Miracles Teachers and Students. “Gorgeous for God” sits with my Course book and instantly became part of my morning and evening lesson ritual and meditation.

I thought I was uncompromising in my dedication until I read Lisa’s book. She demonstrates her transforming discovery process and awareness with her very personal and hilarious vignettes and her obvious dedication to the singular function of forgiveness. Her book is an inspiration to any serious Course teacher or to anyone who is sick and tired of living a life based on fear, doubt, limitation, uncompromised happiness, sickness, pain, or death.

Her uncompromising dedication, determination and clarity are refreshing. I can see how she could easily bypass Marianne Williamson as the most visible spokesperson for A Course in Miracles. The book is organized in a very simple way that makes reading effortless.

When I need a quick pick-me-up or just want additional fuel to my own burning fire to get out of the way and be a window for the Love of God to shine through me in full awareness, “Gorgeous for God” is an invaluable tool.

What a great gift for Christmas or otherwise for anyone in your life familiar with A Course in Miracles or not.

Thank you Lisa! What fun! You are truly Gorgeous for God!

Gorgeous For God by Lisa Natoli

October 29, 2007

Gorgeous For God is a truly inspirational new book written by Lisa Natoli. The book is inspired by her love and passion for A Course In Miracles . If you have read Marianne Williamson or Gary Renard’s Disappearance of the Universe or Immortal Reality you will love this book. If you are new to ACIM step out of time with Lisa. It’s pure experience and a joy to read.

Here is an excerpt from the gorgeous for God Introduction:

“I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.”

You are whole and perfect as God created you. This is your true natural state, right now, today and always. This has never altered, although you have lost awareness of this simple fact. Whatever you think about yourself as a limited human being is false. I love how Michelangelo explained how he created the masterpiece “David” out of stone. He said the masterpiece already existed within the stone and his task was simply to carve away the excess stone to reveal what
already existed within. So it is with each of us. The masterpiece exists within you, but you have lost awareness of your own perfection.
